Meeting with Italian Government

We are delighted to have held the first meeting with a member of Italian Government, Undersecretary of State Ivan Scalfarotto Deputy Minister at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, who was very supportive to BPUR International.

The meeting was very constructive and it comes as part of our advanced efforts to get the Italian Government to adopt our proposed ‘International Treaty to Ban the Political Use of Religion’.

We are very grateful to our strong team of supporters in Italy, led by our legislative sponsor Senator Roberto Rampi and a long list of prominent politicians, members of both houses of parliament and supporters. The team includes former Minister of Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi, our Member of the Board of Trustees Elisabetta Zamparutti, Gianni Marilotti, Riccardo Nencini and Maria Rosaria Lo Muzio among others.

BPUR International is leading similar engagements in many countries through our growing list of Legislative Sponsors, which includes Tunisia, Germany, Nigeria, Bahrain, Ecuador, Iraq, Georgia, Bangladesh, Austria and the European Parliament.

We are also holding meetings with legislators and officials in many other counties and expect to add many new legislative sponsors soon.
